These glass bottles contain a plastic internal valve that the milk has to pass through before your baby drinks it. What's the point of a glass bottle if it's full of plastic components? (According to the packaging, the bottle cannot be used without the valve, so taking it out isn't an option.)
Evenflo glass bottles don't have internal plastic (and are 1/5 the price of these); I just wish they came in wide mouth.

Our son is exclusively breastfed, and we worried about introducing a bottle due to the dreaded "nipple confusion." After researching and speaking with other moms, Born Free bottles were consistently praised, and we were able to introduce a bottle at 4 weeks with no problem whatsoever. The bottles don't leak at all, no problems with nipple collapse, and my son hasn't had any problems with gas or spit up. Plus, the glass is sturdy and looks like new each time they are washed and sterilized (unlike my medela plastic bottles, which get cloudy). They also fit perfectly in my Avent steam sterilizer. They're expensive, but absolutely worth it!

Purchased the 9 oz glass bottle as Dr Brown only makes glass bottles up to 7oz and my baby was already taking in 6oz at 4 months. By far the Born Free bottle is easier to use and MUCH easier to clean than Dr Brown's. My baby took to it immediately. No nipple confusion, nor nipple collapse. I highly recommend this product.

i don't think there the best thing ever, but they do have a few pro's,#1 it's easy to pure the scoop of formula in, with my evenflo glass bottles, the hole is small so it's hard to get the powder in #2 the bottles heat up fast,#bpa free, it's just glass #4 the nipple is nice if your baby likes the wide nipple, it's soft,#5 it has a venting system.
con's, 1# there's alot of parts, that makes the middle of the night harder #2 the bottle is huge, and a liittle heavy#3 to replace the nipple's and vent's is very pricy, which is not cool with a bottle that you pay $9 each for, they should give you a brack on the parts.
all in all there not that bad, but i'm going to just stick with the evenflo glass bottles, i think i can live with the smaller hole, they have fewer parts and cheeper parts.
I almost forgot to add this, the avent bottle nipples fit the born free bottles to.

We were using the Avent with our first daughter and liked those okay (they only leaked occasionally) but when we had the chance to switch them with the Born Free bottles, getting away from the BPA, for a small cost we did it. Bascially, i love them. i like the size for my 16 month old (the 5oz. ones are perfect for our 4 month old twins) and they are easy to clean, though they do have several parts to assemble/disassemble. But the glass bottles are a little too heavy and i hate that the writing and ounce markings have come off. The plastic bottles still look like new and haven't had that problem. i'd say get them but go with the Born Free plastic bottles.
